Stacie Dean, Owner and Director

Stacie is one of the original founders of Brookfield Academy. Stacie brings her love of children and business sense to Brookfield to run an exceptional childcare facility. More than 19 years ago, Stacie saw a great need for quality preschool child care and education in Lowndes County. In 2005, she partnered with like-minded mothers, Nicole Holder and Elizabeth Vickers to start Brookfield.

Stacie holds her Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Valdosta State University and is from Leary, GA.  She has three daughters and her husband, David, is the Head Football Coach at Lanier County High School.

Nicole Holder, Owner and Director

Nicole currently acts as Owner, Director and teaches the Golden Giraffe K4 classroom. Nicole has over 25 years of education experience and was excited to bring Brookfield Academy to the community in 2005.

Nicole’s passion for teaching carries over into making sure the programs and curriculum are top quality for the children at Brookfield. She comes from a long line of educators in her family from her grandparents and mom to aunts and cousins, so teaching is in her blood.

Nicole holds her Masters in Elementary Education from Troy State University and her early childhood education degree from Valdosta State University. She is from Columbus, GA,  and has two daughters and her husband, Lance is a Pharmaceutical Representative.

Miriam Weeks, Assistant Director

Miriam has been a valued Brookfield Academy team member since 2008. She began her career at Brookfield teaching K3 before moving to her current position as Assistant Director.

She has her Child Development Associate certificate from the Georgia Council for Professional Recognition and is from Ocilla, Georgia. Miriam is a mother of four grown children and has been married for the past 35 years to her loving husband, Derek.

Elizabeth Vickers, Owner

Elizabeth is an owner and silent partner of Brookfield Academy. In 2005, being a mother of two young children, Elizabeth wanted a better option for our own kids that was modern, built specifically for kids and incorporated a higher level of educational opportunities even at an early age. She continues to work with Stacie and Nicole to make sure there is a quality childcare center in a clean, fun, and interactive environment that is affordable to working families in our community.

Elizabeth holds her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Valdosta State University and is the Executive Director for the Foundation Wiregrass Technical College.

She is originally from Tennessee  but grew up on St. Simons Island and graduated high school in New Orleans. In her spare time she enjoys the beach and spending time with her daughter and son.
